With the help of a semi-permeable (partially permeable) membrane, suspended and dissolved substances in the water are retained and washed out. Pure water for pure drinking pleasure.
Facts and myths about drinking water filter systems:
Yes: The minerals dissolved in the water are filtered out.
However, not all water contains minerals that can be assimilated. Many are also contaminated and only present in very small doses:
e.g. calcium (the recommended daily intake is between 1000 mg and 1200 mg, depending on age).
Tap water contains approx. 50 mg/litre of calcium -> you need around 24 litres of water to meet an adult's daily requirement.
Milk, on the other hand, contains approx. 1200 mg/litre, which is exactly the recommended daily allowance.
-> Our drinking water filter systems can be equipped with a remineralisation cartridge which, on request, returns minerals of the purest quality and in coordinated doses to the filtered water.
Yes: BWhen purchasing a drinking water filter system, it is important to note that it produces at least as much waste water as filtered water, and in some cases even twice as much.
This is necessary because the filters must be rinsed constantly to prevent them from clogging.
-> Our drinking water filter systems produce the same amount of waste water as filtered water. In new buildings, we recommend that the waste water from the drinking water filter system is not flushed down the drain, but is collected separately in a rain barrel for use in the garden. Please note that this water is twice as hard as tap water and is not suitable for drip irrigation, for example.
No: Purified water can also be carbonated, but it absorbs less carbon dioxide than pure tap water.
-> Our drinking water filter systems can be expanded with a carbon dioxide module.
=> In addition, the filter performance of our drinking water filter systems can be individually adjusted from 10 ppm to pure tap water, so that more carbon dioxide can be dissolved.
Yes: If the dissolved substances are removed from the water, it attempts to restore balance by reabsorbing substances. Purified water therefore dissolves deposits much more effectively than tap water. However, purified water can corrode pipe systems, taps, tanks, etc.
-> We use chrome steel taps (manufactured in the EU) and pipes that are specially designed for demineralised water and can withstand osmosis water.
Nature provides the best conditions for all living beings. Pure spring water with its minerals is therefore the best thing that living beings can consume.
Unfortunately, since industrialisation, humans have polluted the environment to such an extent that we can now find microplastics even in the source of the Rhine. Depending on the region, we find varying amounts of substances in groundwater that are harmful to the organism. Here are a few examples of substances that have already been measured in tap water:
- Traces of cell division inhibitors from the urine of chemotherapy patients, which enter the groundwater via the toilet (in Holland, this urine is disposed of as hazardous waste).
- Traces of toxins used to combat algae in façade paints
- Traces of hormones from contraceptive pills
- Traces of drugs such as heroin and cocaine
- Traces of agricultural pesticides
- Traces of antibiotics and other medicines
- Traces of toxic elements from industry (PFAS, etc.)
- Microplastics from tyre abrasion from plastic use and plastic production
- Traces of heavy metals
- Traces of aluminium
- Traces of radioactive materials
- Traces of chemicals such as chlorine, ammonia
Purified water removes certain minerals from the body, but also has cleansing functions by helping to flush out deposits such as kidney stones and gallstones.
-> JEveryone must decide for themselves whether the investment in pure water is worthwhile and whether certain pure minerals should be replenished through food or supplementation.
We value products that are manufactured in the EU.
All our drinking water filter systems are manufactured in the EU according to our specifications and plans and have been tested by us in continuous operation and under extremely harsh conditions.
Our products are characterised by the following features:
- Very compact design. -> Under-sink systems are between 6 cm and 11 cm high and can be easily installed in the kitchen base unit without taking up space in a kitchen drawer.
- All our osmosis systems deliver at least 2 litres of water per minute (5 l/min and higher are possible) and are suitable for continuous operation.
- All our osmosis systems have a water ratio of 1:1 (1 litre of demineralised water : 1 litre of waste water).
- All our osmosis systems have a drain protection system with alarm.
- The filter capacity of all our osmosis systems can be individually adjusted using a rotary knob.
- All our osmosis systems are extremely quiet.
- All our osmosis systems come with a 2-year manufacturer's warranty and a 30-day return policy. Our technicians repair all systems on site if necessary, as all spare parts are in stock.
